Get to Know SPARK! — Ditty Bops Film Screening & Morse Code Workshop

SPARK! Creative Lab uses the arts to honor and support Veterans—and that work began with Neil Chapman. An Air Force Veteran who intercepted enemy Morse Code during the Vietnam War, Neil later became a celebrated photographer. His experiences and art inspired SPARK!’s Ditty Bops productions and a growing body of creative work with Oklahoma Veterans—300 and counting. On November 7, come meet the SPARK! company and experience what we do. We’ll begin with “Your Message in Rhythm,” our signature hands-on Morse Code rhythm workshop led by Kevin Jamison (U.S.M.C., Ret.). Then we’ll share Zachary Burns’ short documentary, Ditty Bops: The Art of Listening, followed by a panel conversation and reception. Neil passed away on September 27. This afternoon honors his life and offers a chance to see what he helped us create—and to take part in it yourself. Veterans, military-connected folks, and civilians are all welcome. No arts or Morse Code experience needed!
