Steps for Tomorrow 5K

About this event

Why We Run Steps For Tomorrow is more than a run its a movement. We lace up with purpose, passion, and a shared commitment to shine a light on the mental health of our Service Members, Local Heroes, and Veterans. Suicide often strikes silently and unexpectedly, and we believe awareness is the first step toward prevention. Our mission is to build a community grounded in connection, support, and the unwavering belief that no one should face their struggles alone. We run to honor lives, spark conversations, and champion access to the help and resources our Heroes and Veterans rightfully deserve. Running is more than physical movement it creates mental momentum. Physical activity has been shown to improve mood, reduce stress, build resilience, and strengthen a sense of purpose. At Steps For Tomorrow, we are turning miles into meaning and movement into healing. Steps For Tomorrow Resource Fair As part of our mission, Steps For Tomorrow also hosts a dedicated Mental Health Resource Fair, bringing together organizations and professionals who are making a meaningful impact in the lives of our Local Heroes and Veterans. This fair serves as a hub for support, connection, and actionable guidance. Whether you are seeking help for yourself, supporting a loved one, or looking to become a stronger advocate for mental health awareness, this space is designed to bridge the gap between need and access. At the Resource Fair, participants can: Connect with local and national mental health organizations Access information on therapy, crisis support, peer networks, and veteran-specific programs Discover free or low-cost mental health services Explore tools for stress management, mindfulness, and resilience building Learn more about community programs focused on suicide prevention and overall wellness Join the Movement Whether youre a seasoned runner or just beginning your journey, you belong here. Every step helps break the silence surrounding mental health and opens the path toward healing, connection, and hope. SIGN UP. SHOW UP. SPEAK OUT. Together, we are running toward a tomorrow where no one is left in the dark.
